This bay is one of the favorites of the Catalans. You are spoiled for choice with 5 magnificent beaches. We particularly recommend the beaches of Balanti and Sainte Catherine. Park your car in the parking lot at Bernardi beach then walk on the coastal path towards Cap Béar. You will not find the fine sand of the beaches of Argelès-sur-Mer there, but turquoise water, calm and a magnificent view of the Albères massif. We also invite you to visit the old dynamite factory rehabilitated by the General Council -
Details of the activity
The Paulilles beach in Port-Vendres is located on the old site of the same name which was occupied by a dynamite plant (closed in the 1980s - some old buildings can be visited). This cove is the main and largest of the Paulilles cove. It stretches for about 300 meters in a green environment. She is supervised during the summer season and has been awarded the blue flag for several years. To get to this Paulilles cove, take the D914 towards Banyuls sur Mer. Access to the Paulilles site is indicated by signs, there is free parking (access via a roundabout). Trails make it easy to get to this beach.
