If you are staying only one night at the hotel, we invite you as a priority to spend half a day in Collioure. You will not be alone, it is difficult to park but you should not resist the charm of this small town of 3000 inhabitants. You have 3 possibilities to reach Collioure: - by car (5 minutes - turn right when leaving the hotel) - on foot via the coastal path (45 minutes - with good trainers - on foot on a tarmac road with little traffic (35 min - be careful, there is a difference in height) To park, choose: - an arrival before 10:30 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m. when spaces become available - the station car park and the Château car park (failing that, the stadium car park and as a last resort the relief car park located 2km from the center on the heights of Collioure (with free shuttle). We will indicate the location of these car parks on the Collioure map that we have at reception for you.

A CITY BETWEEN SEA AND MOUNTAINS In the far south of France, 26 km from the Spanish border, COLLIOURE, jewel of the rocky coast, benefits from an authentic setting and a protected environment. The small Catalan port nestles under cover in a cove where the waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the rocks of the Pyrenees mountain range mix. Several sandy or pebble beaches, coves, crystal clear waters, will allow you to enjoy swimming. Collioure has always attracted many artists from all walks of life. From antiquity Collioure was an important commercial port on the Mediterranean thanks to its geographical position and allowed the exchange of products and foodstuffs. (Phoenicians, Greeks, Etruscans, Romans). The first mention of the Castle (castrum) dates from 673 by the occupation of King Wamba (King of the Visigoths) who will occupy the city. From 981, the counts of Roussillon began to develop and fortify it. From the XIIth to the XVIIth century, the city will be alternately annexed to the kingdoms of Aragon, Mallorca and France.
